Job Title: Procurement Specialist

At Yumi Sushi Charlottetown, we are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing general and specialized equipment, materials, or business services.

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $60,000 to $80,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications.

We are looking for a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist who can assess the requirements of an establishment to develop specifications for equipment, materials, and supplies to be purchased. Key responsibilities include negotiating offers from suppliers, consulting with suppliers, reviewing quotations, determining contract terms and conditions, awarding contracts to appropriate parties, establishing delivery schedules, monitoring progress of delivery schedules, and contacting clients and suppliers to resolve problems.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Outlook is also required. A minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement or a related field is necessary, along with a college/CEGEP education. On-site work is mandatory, with no option for remote work.

Our team requires a skilled Procurement Specialist with computer and technology knowledge, specifically in MS Excel and MS Outlook. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a small team of 1-2 people.
