Job Title: Cashier (Part-Time)

Job Summary:

Giant Tiger is seeking a Part-Time Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a high level of satisfaction with every interaction.
  • Operate a cash register, accurately processing transactions and handling customer payments.
  • Replenish merchandise around the checkout area, maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
  • Ensure health and safety policies and guidelines are followed, maintaining a safe working environment for all employees and customers.
  • Follow loss prevention best practices, preventing theft and ensuring the security of store assets.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures related to the sale of tobacco and lottery products.

Requirements:

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to accurately process transactions and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to provide exceptional service to every customer.

Physical Demands:

  • Stand and/or walk for extended periods, with the ability to lift and move up to 18 kg (40 lbs).
  • Bend, twist, and squat, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks requiring a range of hand motions.

Keyholder Premium:

As a Keyholder, you will be responsible for opening and closing the store, ensuring all areas are tidy and secure. You will also be responsible for running register reports, ensuring all Associates have completed their end of shift tasks, and maintaining the security of the store.

  • Ensure a high level of customer service, maintaining a positive and welcoming store environment.
