Peter J Smulders is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our household staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our residence. Your duties will include:

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture, make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, pick up debris and empty trash containers.
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene.
  • Laundry and Linens: Launder clothing and household linens, mend clothing and linens.
  • Shopping and Errands: Shop for food and household supplies.
  • General Assistance: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, assist with other tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to work independently, fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, combination of sitting, standing, walking.
  • Personal Qualities: Punctuality, client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, values and ethics, patience, honesty.

Security and Safety: Bondable, criminal record check.

Work Conditions: Non-smoking work environment, work in employer's/client's home.

Own Tools/Equipment: Uniform.
