We are seeking a skilled and experienced Painter-Decorator to join our team at Friends Painting & Decorating Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting and decorating services to our clients.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in painting and decorating, with experience in preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces, as well as applying paint, wallpaper, and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces. You will also be responsible for advising clients on colours and choice of wall coverings, and for erecting scaffolding and swing stages and attaching rigging.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted
  • Repair cracks and holes
  • Mix paint to desired colour and texture
  • Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls
  • Advise clients on colours and choice of wall coverings
  • Erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging
  • Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces
Requirements:
  • Experience in painting and decorating
  • Strong knowledge of painting and decorating techniques and materials
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Steel-toed safety boots
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to work in a variety of locations, including outdoors and in confined spaces. You will be required to wear steel-toed safety boots and to follow all safety protocols.
