About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team at Wellspring Health and Wellness clinic. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will play a vital role in supporting our physiotherapists and occupational therapists in the assessment and treatment of patients with various injuries or disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment
    • Administer evaluative tests and procedures to assess patients' physical abilities and develop treatment plans under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists.
    • Carry out treatment programs to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities.
  • Patient Care
    • Examine patients to identify their physical needs and develop individualized care plans.
    • Follow through on treatment programs with patients and provide ongoing support and guidance.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Maintain inventories of medications and pharmaceutical products.
    • Maintain prescription records and process files and paperwork.
    • Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
    • Work collaboratively with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
    Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position working 35 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of physical activity. The ability to work under pressure, maintain attention to detail, and prioritize tasks effectively is essential.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
