About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Manager to join our team at 77 Consultants. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead medium-sized client tax engagements, working closely with our Partners and senior team members.

Job Description
  • Leading complex tax engagements for public and private companies, including high-net-worth clients;
  • Identifying tax issues and planning opportunities for owner-managed businesses;
  • Preparing and reviewing federal and provincial income taxes for individuals, corporations, and exempt organizations;
  • Managing clients' high-level personal and corporate tax matters, including GST compliance;
  • Providing knowledge and expertise in Canadian tax issues;
  • Supervising and reviewing Canadian personal and corporate tax returns;
  • Leading, supervising, and assisting in the completion of corporate restructuring plans;
  • Providing Canadian estate planning services for high-net-worth clients;
  • Managing a portfolio of clients with varying sizes and scopes, acting as the primary point of contact for internal and external clients;
  • Managing risk and financial performance of engagements, including billing, collections, and project budgets;
  • Building and managing client relationships, delivering high-quality tax services and advice;
  • Participating in coaching and performance management, conducting timely performance reviews, providing ongoing feedback, and training junior team members;
Requirements
  • A Professional accounting designation (CA, CPA, CGA, or CMA);
  • Completion of the CICA In-depth I, II, and III tax program, or a Master's degree in Tax;
  • Strong technical background in a public practice services firm, with 3-5 years of post-designation experience after completing the In-depth program;
  • Significant tax compliance and/or planning experience;
  • Proficiency in Tax software, Caseware, Excel, and Word;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills, capable of multitasking various tasks, projects, and strategic improvement initiatives;

The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a generous retirement plan.
