We are seeking a skilled and physically fit Maintenance Worker to join our team at Simba Management & Cleaning Inc. in cleaning high-rise buildings, apartment complexes, and various other facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for those who enjoy working independently with minimal supervision.

Job Summary:

This position involves maintaining the cleanliness of buildings, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and waxing floors and stairs, as well as emptying trash cans and other waste containers. The successful candidate will be responsible for working efficiently to meet deadlines while ensuring that all areas are left spotless.

Responsibilities:
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to ensure a clean and safe environment for tenants and visitors
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse from floors and walkways
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers, replacing liners as needed
  • Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings to maintain a high level of cleanliness
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies as required
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to prevent the spread of germs and bacteria
  • Work with minimal supervision to ensure timely completion of tasks and meet deadlines
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas during winter months
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in cleaning or maintenance
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in all weather conditions
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
