About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team at Nextgen Construction Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity of our buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure and Cut Materials: Accurately measure and cut materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to ensure precise fits and finishes.
  • Assemble and Join Materials: Assemble and join materials to create sturdy structures, taking into account factors such as load-bearing capacity and stability.
  • Install Windows and Doors: Fit and install windows and doors to ensure proper sealing and functionality.
  • Work Site Environment: Work in a noisy and dusty environment, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Task Management: Manage tasks efficiently, prioritizing projects and delegating responsibilities as needed.
  • Apprentice Training: Instruct apprentices in carpentry techniques and best practices, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the carpentry trade.
  • Work Schedule: 30 hours per week.
  • Language: English.
