About the Role

We are seeking highly motivated and talented students to join our 5G software development team as co-op developers. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge 5G wireless technology and develop real-time 5G base station software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, debug, and test 5G software features and rApps (remote applications)
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement 5G software solutions
  • Work with a team to develop and maintain 5G software tools and infrastructure
  • Assist in the investigation of issues uncovered during testing
  • Develop and code automated 5G test cases and test tools capabilities

Requirements

  • Software development and debugging skills with an academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
  • Working towards completion of a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree
  • Entering any co-op term (1st, 2nd,...)
  • Interpersonal skills: team player, independent, self-starter, organization skills, detail-oriented, and able to work in a dynamic environment
  • Effective English oral and written communications skills
  • General knowledge of LTE and/or 5G wireless protocols is helpful
  • Concurrent programming languages, Perl, Python, Java, JavaScript, Typescript, Java SpringBoot framework, HTML/CS, C/C++
  • Experience with Linux, Gerrit, Github, Jenkins, Django, and Angular are assets
  • HTTP & RESTful framework, Database Fundamentals (Hibernate & JPA in our implementation), Kubernetes & Docker
