This is why we're seeking an Agricultural Operations Manager to lead our grain terminal in Assiniboia, SK. The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing terminal operations and possess excellent communication skills.

This role requires an expert communicator who can effectively delegate tasks and collaborate with various departments. The successful applicant will be driven by a desire to maximize productivity and efficiency at our facility.

The location of this position is in Assiniboia, SK, where you will report directly to the Regional Manager. As an Agricultural Operations Manager, you will oversee Marketing Manager and Facility Manager, providing accurate planning, forecasting, and budgeting while actively participating in staff selection, training, and coaching.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To deliver financial results as outlined in operating and capital budgets, managing inventories, receivables, fixed assets, and rolling stock effectively.
  • Working closely with the Regional Manager and Human Resources, you will coordinate and administer all embedded Human Resource activities, including hiring, onboarding, training, performance reviews, compensation reviews, succession planning, career development plans, and discipline as required.
  • You will develop and maintain strong business relationships with customers that are mutually beneficial, setting the standard for excellence in customer service.
  • Maximize throughput and achieve profitable grain handling while meeting operational efficiency standards.
  • Ensure quality standards are consistently met, taking full responsibility for the specifications of grains when loaded into rail cars and trucks.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing and monitoring compliance with corporate or regulated safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.

A competitive salary range for this role is $110,000 - $140,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
