We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Emergency Responder to join our team at St Josephs Hospital in Estevan, Saskatchewan. As a Medical Emergency Responder, you will be responsible for providing pre-hospital care to patients in emergency situations.

About the Role

This is a Casual position with no guaranteed hours, requiring a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will be working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing pre-hospital care to patients including assessing their condition, administering first aid, and transporting them to medical facilities.
  • Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide accurate information and updates.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Grade 10 education and an Emergency Medical Responder certificate (EMR).
  • A valid Class 4 driver's license and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Level C Certificate (CPR), and First Aid Certificate.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural setting.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $22,600 to $24,210 per year, paid bi-weekly. This includes a three-step range, allowing for opportunities for advancement and career growth.
