About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Care Team Assistant to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our care team, you will provide direct, hands-on care to patients based on their individual needs and program/unit requirements.

Your primary responsibilities will include supporting patients' activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living, reinforcing patient and family teaching according to established guidelines and the plan of care, and working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Continuing Care Assistant Program or equivalent
  • Provincial Certification with the Department of Health and Wellness
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification
  • Effective listening and communication skills
  • Competencies in other languages, with French being an asset

Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent part-time position with 20% FTE, requiring 15 hours of bi-weekly work. The hourly rate is $23.7076 - $25.7031.
