Indigenous Social Worker

We are seeking a skilled Social Worker to join our team at Fraser Health. The successful candidate will work with Indigenous clients and their families, providing comprehensive services and therapeutic clinical counseling.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive social work and psychosocial assessments of Indigenous clients and their families.
- Provide clinical support to the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, in the development of care plans and services.
- Participate on local committees and planning bodies to identify areas to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery.
- Current full registration with the BC College of Social Workers.
- Two years' recent related experience in a complex healthcare environment, plus relevant experience in an Indigenous environment/community.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of counselling and clinical practice models as it relates to Indigenous individuals, families, groups, and communities.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive social work and psychosocial assessments.
- Comprehensive counselling skills, including crisis counseling, brief therapeutic interventions, and loss and grief applicable to patients, families, and their support networks.
