We are seeking a highly skilled Data Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative data solutions. As a key member of our Data Development team, you will design and implement efficient, scalable, and secure data solutions that meet our business needs while adhering to enterprise governed standards and aligning with our Data Strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop data solutions to support internal and external business processes and functional requirements.
  • Analyze design specifications, documentation, and requirements to transform them into system capabilities using standard coding tools and processes.
  • Document new data mart framework and implement processes around the use of data marts.
  • Develop complex data marts and stored procedures in a relational database environment.
  • Develop recurring reports for business analysis.
  • Implement an efficient daily and monthly load log process, including notifications of failures and successful load completions.
  • Monitor database performance and work with Database Administrators to optimize database performance.
  • Analyze database entities, relationships, and attributes to determine efficient design solutions.
  • Identify inefficiencies in current load processes and recommend/implement resolutions.
  • Collaborate with the Data Engineering and Governance team to ensure standards for code, design, documentation, testing, and deployment.
  • Research industry trends and best practices to improve data loads.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience in a Technology or business environment.
  • 4+ years of experience in developing and following structured work processes in data development or analytics solution design.
  • Solid SQL experience in Snowflake, along with SSRS, SSIS, Stored Procedures.
  • Power BI, Tableau, experience in Snowflake Data Warehouse.
  • Cloud Environment experience, with Azure being an asset.
  • Git, Active Batch.
  • Python, Py Spark, exposure to Scala, along with exposure to Kafka Technology.
  • Proficient in programming languages specific to environments and coding experience.
  • Excellent ability to design and engineer solutions.
  • Knowledge of data management, governance, data design, and database architecture.
  • Knowledge of business analytics and performance management principles, including KPI and KRI management.
