Job Summary:
The Dozer Operator will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to excavate, move, load, and grade materials on the worksite. This includes:
- Operating heavy equipment safely and efficiently to move, load, and grade materials
- Grading various parts of the worksite to the designed elevation in a timely manner
- Performing daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment
- Repairing and maintaining equipment in good condition
- Advising the Foreman of any requirements for maintenance or repairs
- Ensuring a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures
- Protecting and promoting the interests of Municipal Group of Companies
- Ensuring the safety of fellow employees
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 2 years' experience in a construction environment
- Knowledge of construction site protocols, rules, and code of conduct
- Ability to operate equipment using advanced grading techniques (i.e., GPS)
- Willingness to work in a team environment
- Valid driver's license in good standing
- Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors
