We are seeking a seasoned Senior Transactional Lawyer to join our team in Malaysia. Key Responsibilities

  • Transaction Support: Provide legal guidance on structuring, negotiating, and executing transactions related to private equity, private placements, private lending, structured credit transactions, syndicated loans, real estate, and other alternative assets investments across various jurisdictions.
  • Regulatory Analysis: Conduct thorough research and analysis on regulatory developments affecting investments and associated entities, ensuring compliance with relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our front-office teams, business colleagues, and external stakeholders to develop prudent and creative solutions that advance our company's interests.
  • Risk Management: Assess and manage legal and reputational risk exposures, maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Assist in implementing best practices in private capital business operations within Asia, collaborating with internal teams and external experts as needed.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Hold a law degree from a recognized institution and have at least 3 years of post-qualification experience. Prior in-house experience is an asset.
  • Language Proficiency: Possess excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese languages.
  • Skill Set: Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and prioritize multiple tasks while meeting tight deadlines.
