Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Educational Assistant to support students with special needs in our schools. As an EA, you will work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with special needs, including those with autism, behavioral disabilities, and physical disabilities
  • Assist with lesson planning and implementation, as well as data collection and progress monitoring
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive team approach
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting students with special needs
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A diploma in a child-related field, or equivalent experience and training
  • Experience working with students with special needs, preferably in a school setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups
  • A valid Behaviour Management Systems certification, and/or other relevant training
