Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mental Health Clinician to join our team. As a Mental Health Clinician, you will play a critical role in providing assessment, treatment, and support services to individuals and families affected by mental illness and substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive assessments and treatment plans for clients with complex mental health needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions, as well as family support and education.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community resources and services to support client needs.
  • Provide education and support to clients and families on mental health and substance use issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and reports.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols and policies.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counselling Psychology, or other relevant social or health sciences discipline.
  • Two years' recent experience working with clients and families with mental illness and substance use disorders.
  • Eligible for registration with relevant professional association.
  • Valid Class V British Columbia driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.
  • Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of mental health psychiatric assessment skills, crisis intervention techniques, and brief/short-term therapy skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to plan, problem-solve, organize, and prioritize workload in a continuously changing environment.
