Job Title: Educational Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Educational Support Specialist to join our team at Lethbridge School Division. As an Educational Support Specialist, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide targeted and specialized supports and services to students who require additional assistance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist students with and adapt tasks to meet their individual needs
  • Implement strategies to support socially appropriate behaviors and attend to physical and medical needs
  • Monitor progress and communicate with teachers and other support staff to ensure effective support
  • Work collaboratively with the school community to share information and reflect on effectiveness of strategies
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 or General Educational Development (GED) diploma
  • Post-secondary certificate or diploma in a related field (asset)
  • Experience working with students with exceptionalities (asset)
  • Police information check, Intervention Record Check, and photo identification (required)
