Culinary Specialist Job Description

Pelican Events & Catering is seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment
  • Organize buffets and banquets to ensure a seamless dining experience
  • Manage kitchen operations to meet the needs of our clients and events
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in a similar role
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Dependability, judgement, and reliability
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
