Cyber threats are becoming increasingly sophisticated, and organizations need experts who can stay ahead of the curve. As a Security Consultant with Cyderes' Offensive Security team, you will assist clients in identifying vulnerabilities and improving their overall security posture.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and make a real impact in the world of cybersecurity. You will be responsible for performing threat analysis, recommending mitigation strategies, and correlating threat data from various sources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Threat Analysis and Mitigation: Perform thorough threat analysis and recommend appropriate course of action, mitigation, and remediation in response to security events and trends.
  • Intelligence Gathering and Reporting: Correlate and analyze threat data from various sources to establish the identity of malicious users active in the computing environment. Produce and review intelligence summaries accessible to all clients.
  • Project Work: Work on projects across multiple research teams with sometimes tight deadlines. Perform internal and external penetration testing of network infrastructure, applications, and database.
  • Comprehensive Reporting: Create comprehensive reports and effectively communicate findings to key stakeholders (technical and/or executive).
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Technical Proficiency: Mastery of Unix/Linux/Mac/Windows operating systems, including Bash and PowerShell. Thorough understanding of network protocols, data on the wire, and covert channels.
  • Penetration Testing and Vulnerability Assessment: Experience conducting social engineering assessments, reverse engineering malware, data obfuscators, or ciphers, and source code review for control flow and security flaws.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

We estimate the salary for this position to be around $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
