Job Summary

Porter Airlines is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to support our Technical Operations Training Program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering technical training programs for our maintenance personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver technical training programs for maintenance personnel, including course modules, syllabi, and instructor notes.
  • Research and create written exams for type endorsement training based on Canadian Aviation Regulations.
  • Deliver theoretical and practical type endorsement training for Embraer ERJ 190-400 and E195-E2 aircraft.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including the Technical Operations Training Control Manual.
  • Assist with the maintenance of training records and the administration of the Learning Management System.
  • Provide letters of recommendation to the Manager, Line Maintenance.
  • Participate in regular departmental meetings and actively contribute to Porter's Safety Management System.
Requirements
  • College diploma in aircraft maintenance from a Transport Canada approved educational facility.
  • Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) licence.
  • DHC-8-Q400 endorsement preferred.
  • Minimum of five years' experience working within an Approved Maintenance Organization.
  • Experience in learning and adult learning facilitation is an asset.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the Canadian Aviation Regulations.
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to generate published documents.
