At Denninger's Foods of the World, we are committed to providing exceptional customer service and quality products. As a Full-Time Meat Associate, you will play a key role in ensuring our customers receive the best possible experience in our Meat Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers in selecting cuts of meat and other products sold at the meat counter.
  • Weigh, price, and wrap products selected by customers.
  • Monitor the quality of product and report any concerns to the Department Head.
  • Operate equipment such as slicers, saws, knives, and tenderizers.
  • Assist in the end-of-day clean-up and storage of meats for the Meat Counter.
  • Stock the self-service counter of vacuum-packed meat and kitchen items, ensuring proper product rotation.
  • Prepare special orders for customers.
  • Ensure the Meat Counter area and meat coolers are safe, clean, sanitary, and visually appealing.
  • Assist with Curbside orders.

Requirements:

  • Comfortable working with meat (beef, pork, chicken, and seafood).
  • Experience working with equipment such as grinders, power saws, slicers, and/or tenderizers is an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with customers, staff, and other departments.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the store.

Physical Demands:

  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Bending and stooping to grasp objects and climb ladders.
  • Bending and twisting the upper body, reaching above and below shoulders.
  • Bending and lifting loads up to 50 pounds.
  • Pushing and pulling carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.
  • Environmental exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, ovens, freezer, outdoors, etc.).
