Pleasure Community Services Society of BC is a charitable organization that has operated throughout BC for over 40 years. Our mission is to deliver community-based services and specialized supported homes to children, youth, adults, and families facing significant challenges in their lives.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Diagnosing Communication Disorders: Conduct thorough assessments to identify the nature and extent of communication disorders in participants.
  • Developing Treatment Plans: Create and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech and communication impairments.
  • Providing Therapy and Counseling: Deliver one-on-one and group therapy sessions to support participants in achieving their communication goals.
  • Collaborating with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work closely with colleagues from various disciplines to provide expert guidance on communication disorders and develop training programs.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Demonstrated Experience Working with Individuals with Communication Disorders.
  • Registration with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of British Columbia (CSHHPBC).
  • Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with participants, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to Work Independently and as Part of a Multidisciplinary Team, with a focus on delivering high-quality services and supporting program development.
  • Valid Class 5 or 7N B.C. Driver's License and Suitable Driver's Abstract/Claims History).
