We are seeking a highly experienced Assurance professional to join our team at Clarity Hiring. As a Lead Assurance Professional, you will play a key role in coordinating, planning, and overseeing assurance engagements. Your expertise in the Canadian Auditing Standards, Standard for Review Engagements, Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises, and Accounting Standards for Not-for-Profit Organizations will be instrumental in delivering high-quality work to our clients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Assurance Partners and senior assurance staff to coordinate, plan, and oversee assurance engagements, ensuring timely completion and delivery of high-quality results.

  • Develop and implement training programs, provide mentoring, and offer support to staff during assurance engagements, fostering a culture of excellence and knowledge sharing.

  • Work closely with peers and senior management to plan and execute file planning, ensuring seamless coordination and effective communication.

  • Leverage strong time management skills to meet deadlines, deliver high-quality work, and proactively address client issues, demonstrating sound judgment and confidentiality.

  • Perform other related accounting tasks as required, utilizing your analytical skills and creativity to identify problems and potential solutions.


Qualifications:

  • Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA) with at least 5 years' public accounting experience, with 3-5 years in an assurance focus.

  • Strong working knowledge of the Canadian Auditing Standards, Standard for Review Engagements, Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises, and Accounting Standards for Not-for-Profit Organizations.

  • Self-motivation, with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment, demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong analytical skills and creativity to identify problems and potential solutions, with sound judgment regarding confidential and sensitive matters.

  • Strong understanding of a client-focused environment, including related deadlines, and the ability to work to meet those deadlines.


Compensation: The estimated annual salary for this role is $110,000-$140,000, based on industry standards and market analysis.
