The First Nations Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Communications Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Communications team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing proactive communications strategies, campaigns, and assets for our diverse health and wellness programs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement communications strategies and campaigns to promote our health and wellness programs
- Lead the development of key messages and communications assets, including publications, articles, and ad copy, videos, podcasts, web content, and other collateral
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives, to ensure alignment with our values and 7 Directives
- Establish understanding and consideration of First Nations perspectives and cultures in all communications efforts
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee major projects and timelines
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, or Social Sciences, plus 5+ years of experience with progressive responsibility
- Recent, relevant, and significant communications and/or social marketing experience
- Strong writing and editing experience, including for web and social media
- Experience managing vendor relationships and overseeing major projects and timelines
- Experience working with First Nations or within a First Nations-led organization, as well as within a healthcare or non-profit organization, are assets
- Competitive salary range: $84,250 - $113,985 per year
- 37.5 hours/week, with core hours from 9am-3pm, Monday to Friday
- Hybrid working arrangement, with the option to work from home
