Job Title: Psychologist I

Alberta Health Services is seeking a highly skilled Psychologist I to join our team at the Centennial Centre for Mental Health and Brain Injury (CCMHBI) in Ponoka.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Registered Psychologist to provide psychological assessments, treatment, and rehabilitation programs for individuals with psychiatric illnesses, such as dementia, mood, and/or thought disorders. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality care and treatment to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct psychological assessments, including clinical interviews, and determine assessment instruments to administer
  • Provide treatment, psychotherapy, and consultation services
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to provide input on psychological factors, barriers, and dynamics that influence client treatment planning, participation, outcomes, and team functioning
  • Provide supervision to psychometrists, provisional psychologists, and/or masters-level psychology students
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Psychology from an accredited university program
  • Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP)
