We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced legal professional to join our team as In-House Counsel.
JOB SUMMARY:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic legal advice and support to various business units within the company, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. They will work closely with senior management to develop and implement policies and procedures that minimize legal risk and maximize business opportunities.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Bachelor of Laws degree from a recognized law school.
- Admission to the bar in Ontario.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- In Quebec, fluency in both French and English is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates with experience working in a similar role or industry will be considered. Those with a strong understanding of corporate governance, contracts, and regulatory compliance will be preferred.
