At SMS Equipment Inc., our team members play a vital role in supporting our customers with their heavy equipment needs.

We are currently seeking a skilled Technical Account Manager to join our team. As a key member of our customer support team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely resolution of technical issues and providing exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of heavy equipment maintenance and repair, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills. They will also have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will possess a positive attitude, be self-motivated, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

The salary range for this position is $145,000 - $165,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams to resolve technical issues and provide solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal partners
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair, with a strong focus on customer service
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
