Junior Accountant Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Accountant to join our team at Pilot Flying J. As a Junior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in overseeing Accounts Receivable functions and assisting in month-end tasks, cash flow preparations, and HST calculations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement process improvements and drive automation to enhance efficiency
  • Manage full-cycle Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, payments, and reconciliations
  • Assist in fixed asset management, journal entries, and account reconciliations
  • Investigate and reconcile key asset and liability accounts
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks as required
Requirements:
  • Degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
  • Prior experience in an accounting role, preferably in Accounts Receivable
  • Industry experience is considered an asset
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably SAP and Microsoft Office
Desired Skills:
  • High attention to detail
  • Quick learner with ability to navigate financial and internal reporting systems
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing requirements
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
