About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Community Support Specialist to join our team at House of Friendship in Kitchener. As a key member of our Residential Treatment Programs, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who require intensive addiction treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide information to participants and community members about available services
  • Facilitate referrals for Addiction Services programs and other necessary services
  • Review and update program referrals from central access portals
  • Establish strong rapport with participants and maintain professional relationships
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum College Diploma in a related field of study (e.g. social services, social work, addictions, mental health)
  • Minimum 1 year experience in an addictions or social services setting
  • Knowledge of issues relating to substance use, homelessness, trauma, mental health, and harm reduction
