Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Tax Supervisor to join our Private Client Services practice at RSM.

The Private Client Services practice takes a holistic approach to advising closely held businesses and their owners, leveraging strategic tax planning, business advisory, and compliance expertise to help clients achieve their long-term goals. Our team collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver digitally-enabled services, working closely with our tax technology teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise business owner clients on business and tax opportunities, including succession planning, wealth transfer planning, and tax compliance.
  • Manage and oversee engagement teams focused on partnership, corporate, and trust entities, planning and executing client tax engagements.
  • Anticipate client needs, collaborating with RSM colleagues in specialty tax areas and cross lines of business to build relationships and support growth.
  • Provide leadership, training, and career mentorship to staff and supervisor-level team members.
  • Drive growth opportunities with existing clients and prospects, collaborating with senior leadership.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a business-related field.
  • CPA license or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in public accounting, with emphasis on taxation and/or private client taxation, including recent experience managing client engagements.
  • Proficient in entity and individual taxation.
  • Familiar with gift and estate taxation.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to work in a collaborative team and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Compensation and Benefits

Our competitive benefits and compensation package includes a salary range of $71,500 - $114,500. Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
