Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our team at SE Health.

About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity that offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. As a Nursing Assistant, you will work in a home care and visiting care agency setting, providing nursing care to patients in their homes or various locations.

Responsibilities
  • Supply and empty bed pans, serving meal trays and feeding patients as needed;
  • Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients safely and with care;
  • Deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments, making beds and maintaining patients' rooms;
  • Supervise patients' exercise routines and assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming tasks;
  • Transport patients in wheelchairs or stretchers, responding to call signals to determine patients' needs;
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations and ensure a safe working environment for all staff members;
Requirements
  • A College/CEGEP diploma in a related field, or equivalent experience;
  • Experience as a Nursing Assistant or in a similar role is an asset;
  • Current First Aid Certificate and CPR Certification;
  • Pass a Criminal Record Check and provide Immunization records and a Tuberculosis test result;
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team;
