Senior Industrial Mechanical Engineer

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Senior Industrial Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This is a technical role focused on industrial engineering, with a strong emphasis on operations, maintenance, and storage facility projects, particularly bus and rail facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research and analysis to design and develop industrial facilities, including transit maintenance and operations;
- Select and specify equipment for industrial facilities, such as cranes, hoists, wash bays, paint and coating booths, and weld bays;
- Develop conceptual designs and detailed designs for industrial facilities, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and regulations;
- Collaborate with structural engineers to analyze dynamics and vibrations of mechanical systems and structures;
- Perform calculations, conduct design drawing reviews, and field investigations;
- Ensure design conforms to all applicable industrial codes;
- Write and edit performance-based industrial specifications;
- Supervise and inspect the installation, modification, and commissioning of industrial systems at construction sites;
- Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for industrial construction or maintenance;
- Work collaboratively as part of a team, providing guidance to other engineers and technologists as required;
- Prepare level of effort estimates and manage effort spent on industrial engineering scope on projects and opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Systems or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, plus six (6) years of experience in the mechanical design of various buildings, including OMS facilities such as bus garages;
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in good standing in Canada;
- Preferred requirements include 15+ years of experience in industrial design, in-depth knowledge of fluid storage and distribution, material handling, and industrial ventilation systems, and strong communication skills.
