About the Role

GLG Organics is seeking an experienced Agricultural Labourer to join our team. As a key member of our crew, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our organic farm operations.

Job Description
  • We are looking for someone with no degree, certificate or diploma and less than 7 months of experience in agricultural labouring roles.
  • You will work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads and physically demanding activities.
  • Your responsibilities will include applying fertilizers, cleaning the work area, transplanting seedlings or rooted cuttings, spraying or dusting plants with insecticides and fungicides, reporting signs of insect or disease damage, potting and re-potting plants, planting bulbs and seeds, mixing and preparing soils, assisting in pruning trees, shrubs and plants, grafting activities, watering and tending to plants, lawns and/or gardens.
Physical Demands
  • You will be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, kneel and handle loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Work Environment
  • The work site will be wet/damp and hot.
  • You will work in a rural area.
Benefits
  • This is a permanent position with 30 to 60 hours per week.
  • The work language is English.
Compensation
  • The estimated annual salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 based on industry standards and location.
