Job Description:

We are seeking an Electronics Technologist to join our fast-growing Production team. As a member of our team, you will work with sensitive electronics in a clean workshop environment, assembling various Kraken product lines, including high-resolution sonar (SAS), underwater vehicles (KATFISH), and Autonomous Launch and Recovery Systems (ALARS).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assembly of electrical harnesses and cables
  • Assembly of electronic chassis and electrical enclosures
  • Mechanical assembly of Kraken products
  • Rackmount equipment set up and configuration
  • Support testing of various products within production
  • Creating production documentation such as build logs, work instructions, and inspection reports
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Diploma in Engineering Technology, or other Technical Diploma with experience
  • Electronics assembly and troubleshooting experience
  • Experience wire splicing/soldering
  • Familiarity using engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Experience in the installation and connection methods of electrical equipment
  • Demonstrated technical skills along with a proven track record for success
  • Experience in the use and maintenance of electrical test equipment
  • Appreciation of other engineering disciplines (mechanical and software)
Bonus Requirements:
  • Experience installing and operating electronics equipment in an ocean environment
  • Experience testing and troubleshooting software systems
  • Experience in through-hole and surface-mount soldering
  • Experience with quality assurance and quality control procedures (QA & QC)
  • Experience with computer networking
