About the Job

WARIS CONSTRUCTION LTD. is seeking a skilled Framer-Carpenter to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure and mark cutting lines on wood and other materials
  • Cut and shape materials using hand and power tools
  • Assemble and join materials to form structures and fixtures
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Schedule and coordinate work on sites
  • Supervise other workers and ensure a safe working environment
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience in carpentry and joinery, with a focus on framing and construction
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
