Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Epic Games Full time

At Epic Games, we are looking for a skilled Senior QA Engineer to join our team.

The Quality Assurance team is responsible for ensuring the quality of all products and functions across Epic. As a Senior QA Engineer, you will work closely with developers and production to deliver high-quality user experiences for our community and customers.

You will analyze product areas for risk, drive deep knowledge of an area's current state by investigating new features and generating solid test cases. Your strong communication skills, ownership, and hands-on approach will drive accountability and generate quick feedback concerning feature quality.

We are seeking a teammate who is passionate about upstream technical testing while designing and creating automation and test suites to raise the quality bar. In this role, you will:

  • Work with QA analysts, QA management, product owners, and other developers to define acceptance criteria, identify risks, plan test coverage, and build tooling and automation to improve efficiency.
  • Examine technical gaps and automation initiatives to ensure quality for Unreal Engine developer tools and build.
  • Build and drive test strategies and test plans to cover multiple features in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Use a mix of technical and manual QA skills to execute various testing techniques across your product to analyze quality while discovering or troubleshooting reported defects and internal issues.
  • Report and track data quality and use that data to drive conversations around product quality and development health, supporting the dev team before, during, and after deployments.

Requirements include 3+ years of professional QA experience, 1+ years of coding experience, or a Computer Science Bachelor's Degree. Previous experience creating tools or automation using Python, C++, C#, or Verse is also required. Experience with root cause analysis of defects and strong communication skills are necessary. The ideal candidate should have technical understanding of build, game, mobile, or web technologies and be able to confidently collaborate on technical topics and features.

Epic Games offers a comprehensive benefits package including 100% employer-paid benefits for employees and dependents, supplemental medical, dental, vision, critical illness, telemedicine, life and AD&D, long-term disability insurance, weekly indemnity (short-term disability), and a retirement savings plan with a competitive employer match. We also offer a robust mental well-being program through Modern Health, which provides free therapy and coaching for employees and dependents.
