Youth and Family Counsellor

WoodGreen is committed to empowering youth to make positive change. As a Youth and Family Counsellor, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that provides comprehensive support services to youth and their families in the Greater Toronto Area.
About the RoleThis full-time position offers a salary range of $70,192.75 to $72,769.06 per year, providing an opportunity to work in a hybrid setting with flexibility to meet client needs. You will promote a culturally safe and therapeutic environment, establish strong relationships with clients, and provide evidence-informed mental health counselling services.
Job Responsibilities- Promote a culturally safe and therapeutic environment and establish therapeutic relationships with clients.
- Provide in-person assessment and evidence-informed mental health counselling services in the youth/family home and community.
- Participate in a multi/interdisciplinary team and contribute to service coordination and case management.
- Referral to community services and accurate recording of client activities.
- Promote inclusion and equity, respect diversity, and actively participate in team meetings and training sessions.
- A Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, or Counselling.
- Post-graduate experience working in the mental health sector, ideally with youth, would be an asset.
- Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in providing evidence-based individual and family counselling.
- Sensitivity to diverse clients and staff groups, with the ability to develop strength-based therapeutic relationships.
- Strong case management, administrative, and organizational skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
