The University of British Columbia is seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Specialist to join our Treasury team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining long-term financial forecasts and models that support strategic decision-making across the university.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain complex financial models to project the university's long-term financial status on a consolidated basis.
- Evaluate strategic initiatives and provide financial analysis to support informed decision-making.
- Analyze and forecast the financial impact of various scenarios and options.
- Develop and present detailed financial reports and presentations to senior leaders and executives.
- Work closely with other teams to gather financial information and validate modeling output.
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
- Completion of the CPA accounting program (CA, CGA or CMA).
- Minimum of nine years of related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
