Trainmaster Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trainmaster Assistant to join our team at CP. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating train movements, supervising personnel, and ensuring compliance with our operating plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate train movements and supervise personnel to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Communicate effectively with departments to ensure compliance with operating plans
• Provide leadership and accountability for safety, service, productivity, and financial metrics
• Lead by example and promote a culture of safety and excellence
• Occasionally operate trains and maintain certifications and licenses as required

Requirements

• Previous railway experience as a conductor and locomotive engineer qualification is an asset
• 2 years' previous supervisory experience in logistics or an operational environment is preferred
• Available to work all types of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays in all weather conditions
• Leadership presence with a drive for career advancement
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex issues
• Excellent communication skills and ability to provide clear instructions
• High school diploma or general equivalency diploma, required
• Valid driver's license, required
• Proficient in MS Office Outlook, Word, and Excel
