We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Octo Mechanical Inc. as a key member of our operations team.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Monitor the movement of supplies and materials between departments to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs.
- Prepare and submit reports to management on supply chain performance and trends.
- Arrange for maintenance and repair work to ensure equipment and facilities are in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate work records and logs to track inventory, shipments, and other supply chain activities.
- Coordinate activities with warehouse and production units to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products.
- Consult with production supervisors to schedule production runs in a cost and time-efficient manner.
- Prepare and maintain progress reports and other documentation to track supply chain performance.
- Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to support operations.
- Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Knowledge of cross-border dispatching regulations and practices is essential.
- Schedule assignments and coordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment to ensure efficient supply chain operations.
- Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
- 1-2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Windows.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
