Job Title: Insulation Installer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Insulation Installer to join our team at Greer Contracting Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing insulation materials in various settings, including construction, commercial, and industrial sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measure and cut insulating materials to required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools
  • Apply and secure insulation using spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping and other application and installation methods
  • Fit insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs
  • Install vapour barriers and fire-retardant materials
  • Brush waterproofing cement or other material over insulating materials
  • Remove asbestos, ceramic fibres, lead and mould and urea-formaldehyde insulation materials from buildings
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods

Work Environment: The successful candidate will work in a noisy, odorous, dusty, hot, and cold environment with confined spaces and outdoors.

Work Setting: The Insulation Installer will work in various settings, including construction, commercial, and industrial sites.

Types of Systems: The Insulation Installer will work with compressors, ventilation, and exhaust systems.

Area of Specialization: The Insulation Installer will specialize in cladding.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: The Insulation Installer will work in a physically demanding environment, handling heavy loads and standing for extended periods.

Own Tools/Equipment: The Insulation Installer will require steel-toed safety boots.
