Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Precision Machinist - CNC Specialist to join our team at Aptech Precision Machining Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machine tools, ensuring high-quality production and meeting production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and charts to understand production requirements

• Set up and operate CNC machine tools, including conventional and computer-controlled machines

• Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance, ensuring accuracy and precision

• Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances, maintaining inspection records and completing inspection reports

• Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments, such as micrometers and calipers

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and procedures

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in CNC machining and tooling

• Post-secondary education in a related field, such as machining or engineering

• Strong understanding of CNC machine tools and programming languages

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and quality

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with effective communication and collaboration skills
