Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled hairstylist to join our team at Double G Hair Salon. This is a full-time position, requiring 35 to 40 hours of work per week.

Estimated Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is $50,000 - $60,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Cut and style hair according to client instructions or preferences, using various techniques such as blow drying, braiding, and twisting.
  • Apply bleach, tints, dyes, or rinses to colour, frost, or streak hair, using safety precautions and following proper application procedures.
  • Shampoo customers' hair, perform scalp conditioning massages, and provide other hair treatments as needed.
  • Suggest hairstyles compatible with clients' physical features and preferences, taking into account their lifestyle and personal style.
  • Perform receptionist duties, including answering phones, handling customer inquiries, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Cosmetology or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-7 months of experience in a hairstyling salon or similar environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Reliability, dependability, and flexibility, with a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
