Job Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Contaminated Sites Scientist.

  • Hold an undergraduate degree or applied technical diploma in environmental science, hydrology, physical geography, earth science, chemistry, water resources, or equivalent areas of practice.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of post-graduation experience in contaminated sites.
  • Be able to work well under pressure, track progress on multiple tasks, manage logistics, and meet budgets and deadlines.
  • Have knowledge of the contaminated sites regulatory environment in BC, including the Environmental Management Act and the Contaminated Sites Regulation, and experience with sampling protocols.
  • Be registered or eligible for registration with a preferred relevant professional body (e.g., EGBC, BCIA, APBBC) or equivalent Federal certification body.
  • Have excellent written and spoken communication, with proficiency in word processing, data analysis and data presentation.
  • Be willing to travel and work remotely.
