The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and developing courses in Electrical Engineering, as well as providing academic leadership and guidance to students and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Course Development and Teaching
  • Design, develop, and teach courses in Electrical Engineering, including Industrial Telecommunications, Digital Electronics, Analog and Power Electronics, and other related areas.
  • Ensure that courses are aligned with the College's curriculum and program requirements.
  • Use educational technologies to enhance the learning experience and meet the needs of 21st-century students.
Academic Leadership
  • Provide guidance and support to students, instructors, and part-time professors in the Electrical Engineering program.
  • Participate in curriculum development and program renewal, and contribute to the improvement of instruction offered to learners.
  • Model the College's values of Caring, Learning, Integrity, and Respect.
Professional Development
  • Stay current in the field of Electrical Engineering and maintain awareness of emerging trends and practices related to teaching and learning in higher education.
  • Participate in professional development activities, including training programs, conferences, and workshops.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a postsecondary setting, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of practical experience in Electrical Engineering, with a strong understanding of Industrial Telecommunications and Electrical Principles.
  • Experience in applying engineering to real-world problems, including building electrical systems, telecommunications, and data networking.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of student success strategies in a postsecondary setting, and experience in the use of educational technologies.
  • Demonstrated provision of academic leadership, including guidance to colleagues and instructors, and participation in curriculum development and program renewal.
  • Highly effective communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continued learning in teaching and curriculum development.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced diploma (3 years) in Electrical Engineering, or a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline/field.
  • P.Eng designation, or a graduate degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in the development and delivery of hybrid and online curriculum.
  • Experience in program coordination, academic advising, or curriculum administration.
