Drywall Installation and Finishing Job Description

All Rounder Construction Services Ltd. is seeking a skilled Drywall Installation and Finishing professional to join our team. As a Drywall Installation and Finishing professional, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall to create smooth, even surfaces for painting and finishing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to create a smooth surface.
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for drywall installation.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
  • Cut openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts, and electrical outlets.
  • Install acoustic tile, hangers for suspended ceilings, and metal studs for composition wallboard or lath.
  • Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools.
  • Install vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulation.
  • Prepare wall and ceiling layouts.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
