Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join our team on a permanent basis in our Vaughan, ON office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for administering, processing, and managing payroll for site employees according to payroll schedules, collaborating with Human Resources and Sites to ensure the integrity of employee records, and working with other team members to ensure continuity between departments.

Responsibilities

  • Collecting, reviewing, and uploading Timesheets from Dynamics 365 ERP system from all sites into Avanti (in-house payroll system).
  • Training and standardizing payroll processes for all Payroll Clerks across multiple sites.
  • Providing reconciliations of all hours by site and employee.
  • Offering tools, training, and support to Payroll Clerks on new project start-ups.
  • Collaborating with Human Resources and Sites to ensure the integrity of employee records.
  • Working with other team members to ensure continuity between departments.
  • Organizing payroll site files and records for auditing purposes.
  • Facilitating change management efforts to support client groups with transforming payroll processes.

Requirements

  • National Payroll Institution, PCP Designation preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a full payroll cycle, ideally with experience in high-volume payroll functions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word).
  • Experience in ERP system administration, ideally with Dynamics 365 is highly preferred.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy a must.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
