Job Title: Associate Doctor

Island Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Associate Doctor to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our clinical services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical care to patients in select facilities across the organization under the supervision of Attending Physicians.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in response to changing patient conditions, and follow through on investigations.
  • Participate in patient rounds, under the leadership of Attending Staff Physicians, and contribute to the development of patient care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Document patient information accurately and in accordance with organizational standards and policies.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
  • Strong clinical skills, with the ability to apply knowledge of medical conditions and clinical scenarios to plan investigations and management of admitted medical patients.
  • Ability to prioritize and time manage tasks effectively, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position, which involves a fair amount of walking within the hospital.
